Located in the heart of the historic district of Rome. We walked to Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum the Spanish Steps as well as many other ancient ruins and buildings. I recommend taking a taxi to some of the sights as there are many crisscrossed streets that don’t offer signs. We almost missed a tour by getting lost. The staff was first class and helped us as much as possible. They gave us excellent advice on local restaurants. They offered a variety of tasty food for breakfast including traditional Italian and western dishes. As a treat, there is a great rooftop bar, weather dependent. You may also go there to just view the area which is rich with historical buildings. We highly suggest visiting the Hotel Colosseum Hotel if you’re touring the oldest part of Rome. For a great experience you should spend several days. It’s worth the expense.

Breakfast was great. Location was perfect!!! Front desk staff couldn’t have been more helpful!! We forgot to bring our ID on our Colosseum tour so the tour guide emailed the hotel and they emailed back copies of our passports so we wouldn’t miss our tour! Over and above!! Their restaurant recommendations were excellent - make sure to visit Molino Bakery Bar & Cucino right around the corner - great food and reasonably priced. We got the family room at the hotel and it had 4 single beds and two bathrooms (nice surprise) and a balcony. Quiet street and was very safe. Great wifi and air conditioning. The rooftop patio was a dream! Loved every minute, would stay again in a heartbeat!

The location was in walking distance to a lot of the attractions but not on a busy street so this was great. All the staff were excellent in every way and always very polite and helpful. Tommasso was excellent at providing assistance with getting around town and the best options to take no matter where you were going. Breakfast was of abundance and they always made sure you had plenty to eat and got to know what your coffee type was ☺️ The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. All round is was an excellent experience.

The roof top bar is wonderful. Breakfast is great too, you can even take a take-out cup for your morning coffee if you need to leave sooner. The chocolate croissants are so good! Air conditioning is the dream when it's 35⁰c outside and you've walked for at least several hours. Beds are firm but that is exactly how I like my mattress. Spare pillows in the wardrobe and blankets in the top if you forget to turn the air on off during the night like I did. Thomasso on the reception is fantastic and enthusiastic.

Sarah

Breakfast really nice. Not overly loaded with “fry up” style, but perfect to fill your belly before a long day walking. Scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon and frankfurters. Selection of cheese and meat, cakes, fruit and pastries. Rooftop bar lovely with good views. Friendly staff, especially Thomas. His enthusiasm and passion for Rome was exceptional. He was lovely! The room was beautiful. We were lucky to be given the room on 7th floor with a balcony. Views were spectacular. Definitely recommend
